Business Start Up Workshops & Training

Mike Burley has been delivering the 3 day Business Link business start up workshop across Dorset and Hampshire since 2001 – with well over 100 run to date.
The 3-day workshop is designed to cover the areas important to the successful setting up and running of a small business:

• Introduction to Business Planning
• Marketing (market research, advertising & promotion)
• Marketing & Selling (effective advertising, pricing & selling)
• Profit & Cash Flow
• Banking and Administration
• Tax & Legal Issues

Although targeted at pre and recent start businesses, many established business have attended to improve their business skills, especially if they are thinking of targeting a new market.

Courses have been run in the evenings to cater for employed and existing businesses, and tailored for particular sectors, e.g. final year university students and ethnic minorities.
